Finishing School: Sing Out! with Alotta Boutté

Let’s workshop your songs! From picking a song to performing it, Alotta Boutté will walk you through the process. Get ready to sing out loud so you can feel it in your body. At the end of this class, students will have resources and a better understanding of their own voice to sing with confidence on stage.
Bring: Attendees should have a song in mind that they’d like to work on. If possible, bring a backing track.
Hailing from the Bay area, this International Cabaret and Burlesque Sensation is classically trained, yet forged in nightclubs. Alotta may have discovered burlesque in the back of a magazine, but she is a dance and theater kid at her core. She has shared the stage with the likes of Joey Arias, Taylor Mac, and Margaret Cho as well as performed in Paris as part of the Mugler Follies and at the Goat Farm. She was a core member of the legendary all Black neo-burlesque troupe Harlem Shake Burlesque, founded by Simone de la Getto.
