Community Panel – Legacy of Burlesque: Past, Present and Future of Burlesque

A panel discussion with some of our industry’s community leaders in accessibility and globalization of burlesque. Discussion will be relaxed, conversational with topics of moving through nightlife & the cabaret scene, access to needs and preserving our rich history.

Potential topics include:

• History & legacy – what is your journey in the burlesque industry been like so far? Have there been changes that you have seen, observed, felt?
• Accessibility within burlesque – as a performer, a viewer and/or producer, what advice would you give to performers looking to expand their opportunities
• Producing –  the status & future nightlife & cabaret scene – how do we move through & get the upper hand in this political climate.
• Globalization – With the global reach of a discipline like burlesque, how can performers express our rich & varied heritage & share widely? How & why do we share our art form & stories?
